"Anger is a Storm" is a high-resolution digital image created in-camera by using the photographic technique of intentional camera movement. It is also a photo manipulation by combining images from two digital negatives and making them one print. In depicting anger with my camera, it was difficult to create a single image without crossing into stereotypes. After thinking about anger and how it manifests in our minds, I decided to create an image that shows the mental transition from a warm and wonderful feeling and the impending impact of a dark and menacing storm. In this photo, the weight and perceived damage of the dark and threatening clouds is in stark contrast to the ICM image made from sweeping a blooming mustard field.
