Visually, interpreting thoughts and emotions is a challenge. How does one create images of our inner most thoughts and feelings? In the pieces submitted for Mind Mapping 2024, I use color, motion, symbolism and composition. For example, “Tenacity” is a force within oneself. One has to juggle many thoughts and feelings to keep going despite personal challenges. For all my submissions, the selected format was a square or rectangular box, symbolizing isolation and expressing the confinement of human thoughts and emotions.
