My Au Contraire series is a continuing study of contrast in all of it's forms. This particular piece studies both shape and similar color tone's affects on the whole. “Progeny” simply means offspring or children. This piece intends to depict how we need to respect the outcome for each and every one of our offspring. Rather than cookie cutter duplicates, each child deserves the respect to be allowed to become whatever each chooses. The simple injection of the only truly contrasting veneer exemplifies outside influences. This piece is unframed and gallery wrapped by coloring the edges to match the veneer colors and texture.
