As a professional psychtherapist, I often work with clients who have sadness and feelings of abandonment with no conscious memories of how they came to feel that way. I often help them work on "drawing" the emotion. Is there light? How much dark is there? Are there any discernable human figures? What color or colors is this emotion? This painting (acrylics and shards of photgraphs) entitled "At the Edge of Memory" is my own attempt to re-create an image of intense happiness along with a slight sense of loss and nostalgia that I have experienced.
